Project Coordinator Teachers Without Borders (Brazil)

Teachers Without Borders is looking for a Project Coordinator for its new teacher professional development project in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The ideal candidate will be a bilingual, experienced Brazilian educator (K-12), familiar with the field of teacher professional development in Brazil. He/she will be responsible for developing, launching, and scaling an innovative and demand-driven teacher professional development program dovetailed to national standards and professional development needs.
This is a paid position that will require approximately 25 hours of work per week.
 
Job responsibilities:
•Facilitate face-to-face and online professional development sessions, including a train-the-trainer program for school leaders.
•Reach out to potential local partners, such as local Departments of Education, schools, school districts, teacher associations, and other local groups for the purpose of establishing strong capacity-building partnerships that ensure ongoing local sustainability.
•Assist with securing local endorsements.
•Train local educational leaders in innovative practices.
•Assist with the development of several school-based communities of practice.
•Work with TWB and local education authorities to showcase best practices in school-based teacher development.
•Ensure consistent feedback and documentation.
Skill requirements: 
•Excellent time management skills.
•Ability to work under minimal supervision.
•Proficiency in using online collaboration tools.
•Proficiency with MS Office.
•Proficiency in English.
•Excellent facilitation and communication skills in Portuguese. 
Preferred, but not required, experience: 
•Excellent knowledge of the Brazilian education system.
•Curriculum development experience.
•Experience as facilitator of teacher professional development workshops/sessions.
•Prior project management experience.
